TelekomNet Appoints Veteran Telecom Executive Randall McComas to Strategic Advisory Board

Randall McComas has been appointed to the Strategic Advisory Board at TelekomNet(TM), the global business-to-business marketplace and interactive knowledge center for the networking and telecommunications industry. As a member of the advisory board, Mr. McComas will have broad responsibilities including examination of relationships, technology issues, markets, and strategies that affect TelekomNet.

Mr. McComas currently serves as the vice president and general manager of Scient's (NASDAQ: SCNT) Telecommunications Business Unit. In this position, he consults telecommunications and utilities clients in establishing electronic business solutions to create market leadership, break-through position, and economic results through e-business strategy and execution.
Before joining Scient, Mr. McComas was vice president of telecommunications for IBM Global Telecom and Media Industries and was responsible for developing executive relationships with wireline and wireless carriers. He also developed and executed IBM's overall business strategy and go-to-market plans, developed and delivered products, solutions and services to the marketplace and managed IBM's global marketing and advertising campaigns.
Mr. McComas also held a number of other positions during his 16-year career at IBM, including Director of Emerging Markets for Telecommunications and Media Industries, and Global Director for Wireless Carriers for the Telecom and Media Industry. He also managed IBM's channel strategy to markets; advertising campaigns for the wireline carriers, wireless carriers and ISPs on a global basis.
Prior to IBM, MR. McComas was vice president for marketing and engineering at Kline Engineering. He also worked as a registered structural engineer in South Carolina and performed nuclear submarine duty for the United States Navy.
