Unica Appoints IBM Executive, John Landry, to Board of Directors; 25-Year Software Innovator to Help Guide Company's Business Development Strategy

Unica Corporation, the leading provider of analytical CRM and marketing automation solutions, today announced the appointment of technology and business innovator, John Landry, to its board of directors.
Landry brings extensive experience as both a technologist and business strategist to Unica. During the course of his career, he has been chief technology officer for Lotus Development, Dun & Bradstreet, Cullinet Software, and McCormack & Dodge. He currently serves as vice president of technology strategy at IBM, focusing on the company's e-business initiatives, and until its recent acquisition by Palm, was chairman of the leading Internet calendaring and scheduling service, AnyDay.com (Cambridge, MA). Previously, Landry was chairman of the interactive-advertising company, Narrative Communications, until its acquisition last year by Excite/At Home.
The founder of Strategic Technology Partners, an e-business strategy consulting firm, Landry has helped many companies evolve and evaluate new Internet-based business models. Landry also founded Mainstone Capital, an early stage angel investment fund. He serves on the boards of several of its investments, including the public companies Interliant (INIT), GIGA Information Group (GIGX), MCK Communications (MCKC), Lante (LNTE), and Cidera (CIDR), and a number of emerging private firms.
