COSTA MESA, Calif. & EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2000--Tickets.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: TIXX) and the Edmonton Oilers announced that the two organizations have entered into an exclusive ticketing services agreement, starting with the 2000-2001 National Hockey League season. Tickets are on sale now.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Tickets.com will facilitate Oilers' ticket sales through its fully integrated distribution system, including telephone, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), CHAMPIONS retail outlets and the Oilers' Box Office at the 17,100-seat Skyreach Centre in Edmonton. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online via the Edmonton Oilers' website, www.edmontonoilers.com, or by visiting www.tickets.com.

"We are pleased to be selected as the exclusive ticketing solutions provider of the Edmonton Oilers," said W. Thomas Gimple, Tickets.com chief executive officer. "By building this Ticketing Gateway(TM) for the Oilers' website, Tickets.com is empowering the team to control and leverage its own unique brand equity in Canada and the United States, while maximizing ticketing sales."

Currently, Tickets.com provides ticketing solutions for other National Hockey League franchises including the 1999 Stanley Cup Champions and 2000 Finalists Dallas Stars and 1999 Stanley Cup Finalists Buffalo Sabres.

Oilers' President and CEO Patrick Laforge said, "This is a wonderful partnership for our hockey club, and we are very excited to join forces with Tickets.com. Their advanced software system will allow our fans from all over Western Canada access to game tickets from new and different sources, including our own website."

This agreement follows the recent groundbreaking, exclusive partnership with Major League Baseball. In the case of MLB as with the Oilers, Tickets.com allows the individual organization or team to build a one-to-one online relationship with the fan base through a private label Ticketing Gateway(TM).

Tickets.com's patron-based software solutions provide venues and promoters with a wide range of marketing opportunities, enabling them to use relational database software to track ticket purchasing behavior and optimize relationships with their own ticket buyers.
