Among Customers Scheduled to Speak
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS) today announced that several of its leading enterprise and ASP customers are speaking at Citrix iForum(TM) 2000, the company's annual user conference taking place Oct. 2-5, 2000 at the Swan & Dolphin Resort, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla. Among the companies presenting their Citrix implementations are Aventis Corp., Center for Advanced Research and Training, Coca-Cola, Delta Technologies, First Union Corporation, France Telecom, Gold's Gym, MGM Mirage and Standard Chartered Bank. Citrix currently has more than 100,000 customers worldwide, including all of the FORTUNE 100 and more than 80 percent of the FORTUNE 500.
Enterprise customers are achieving significant, measurable benefits from their Citrix implementations, including increased employee productivity, reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and greater system flexibility and scalability. For ASP customers, Citrix's centralized application management capabilities keep ASP costs down and ensure the rapid deployment of new solutions and upgrades.
"Customers are at the heart of any business, and we consider Citrix iForum 2000 as an excellent way to celebrate the success of our growing customer base," said Dave Weiss, vice president of marketing for Citrix. "Many of these companies have discovered ways to push the boundaries of technology in their businesses, and have learned much in the process. This sharing of experience and knowledge is the very essence of a customer forum."
Some of the presentations from Citrix customers will include:
-- How Gold's Gym upgraded its entire IT infrastructure and
created a global database for its 550 facilities in 47 states
in 26 countries throughout the world. The largest health
club chain in the world was faced with numerous challenges
including security, real-time central database administration
and access by a large number of employees with little
computer expertise.
-- How MGM Mirage reduced its TCO, improved application access
and increased employee productivity by deploying 30
applications to 5,600 thin clients and legacy PCs. The
project saves the company $3 million annually and has reduced
support calls by 50 percent.
-- How First Union Corporation enabled one-third of its 70,000
employees to work remotely using different client devices
over different connections. The company created a one-stop IT
solution that allows users to remotely access applications
and email from anywhere with a consistent, familiar
interface.
Customers will be presenting in various formats, including an ASP end-user panel, an enterprise end-user panel, and several "Real World Solutions" sessions that will highlight different Citrix customers and how they put the company's technology to work for them.
