Atlanta 2000 Booth #L318

Tridia Corporation, a provider of eSupport tools that facilitate interactive support and remote system administration today announced that it will award $5000 US for the judged best name for its TridiaVNC `Alien' mascot.

There will also be hundreds of `Alien' t-shirts awarded randomly when contestants submit their entries at the show and over the Internet. The contest begins today at NetWorld Interop's LINUX Business Expo Atlanta 2000 Conference and Exhibition, booth #L318 and ends Thursday, November 30, 2000. Entries can be made in-person at booth #L318 or on the Internet at www.tridiavnc.com after Monday, October 2, 2000.

"You can understand our predicament, we have an `Alien' mascot without a name," says Vince Frese, chief executive officer at Tridia Corporation. "He's from a remote planet called DOWNLOAD and arrived on an advanced VNC spacecraft that's capable of CROSS-PLATFORM travel to the `REMOTE' reaches of the computing universe. The `Alien' is an OPEN-SOURCE ambassador from the planet DOWNLOAD, where OPEN-SOURCE is a better way of life. He traveled this long way in support of Tridia Corporation's leadership role on Earth as integrator/aggregator of open source eSupport technology. We are very pleased to have the `Alien' join our open-source team."

Name the `Alien' mascot contest provides a single grand prize of $5000, plus hundreds of `Alien' t-shirts awarded randomly per week through November 30, 2000. Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to participate and win prizes. During NetWorld Interop's LINUX Business Expo Atlanta 2000 Conference and Exhibition 150 `Alien' t-shirts will be randomly awarded each day of the show. Participants can enter up to three times during the promotion. When entering, contestants will be given the opportunity to request TridiaVNC software distribution that's emailed the following weekend.
