New Senior Vice President of Human Resources Appointed at Metropolitan Jewish Health System

Erin O'Connor, a thirteen-year veteran of human resources and employment management in the health care field, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Metropolitan Jewish Health System.
She will be responsible for oversight of a wide range of matters related to the organization's employees, including benefits, compensation, employee relations, communications, personnel administration, safety and health, and special events. O'Connor will also supervise development and administration of policies and procedures related to all phases of human resources.
In her most recent position as Vice President of Human Resources at Lenox Hill Hospital, O'Connor helped set the hospital's strategic objectives and implement plans to achieve them. She also supervised all labor and employee relations activities, and coordinated a formal compensation program for employees, among many other duties. Prior to that position, O'Connor served as Director of Human Resources, Assistant Director of Employee Relations and Training, and Employment Manager at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn. During her six-year tenure there, she directed the Department of Volunteer Services, developed a cohesive human resources team through cross training and job enrichment, acted as consultant to management staff, and managed recruitment activities for personnel. O'Connor has also held management positions at The New York Foundling Hospital/Sisters of Charity Health Care Corporation.
A resident of Staten Island, O'Connor has a law degree from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
