PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2000
Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV) announced today that Fulton Financial Corporation, with $6.4 billion in assets and headquarters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has signed a long-term renewal contract for comprehensive financial data processing services with the Pittsburgh-based Fiserv Custom Outsourcing Solution.
In addition to renewing its data processing contract, Fulton Financial Corporation has purchased a complete contact management solution from Fiserv that will enable the bank to focus on its customer relationship management strategy.
"Outsourcing is something that we feel strongly about. We want to focus on financial services and not have to worry about technology issues," said Jim Shreiner, Executive Vice President of Fulton Financial Corporation. "Fiserv has met our growth over the years in both size and product development. It has been able to provide product and system customization to meet our needs. As a result, we see Fiserv as our partner, and they have been a major contribution to our success over the years."
Fulton Financial Corporation has been a Fiserv Custom Outsourcing customer for the past 18 years. Under the new contract, Fiserv will enhance Fulton's ability to provide superior customer service by furnishing core banking applications, as well as the following CRM and retail delivery capabilities:
-- A branch and teller automation system designed to boost sales. The system also will enable Fulton Financial to track sales and customer traffic in order to provide maximum service. -- A call center system that will allow Fulton Financial to provide superior service and target the sale of additional products. The system also provides customer profiles, agent instructions, and activity assignments across departments and branches to guide service requests and sales opportunities. -- A data warehouse that will be used to collect, analyze and transfer data from all delivery channels - Internet, telephone, ATM, branch - into marketing and profitability models to enhance sales and customer service. -- Internet banking services. -- A Web-based cash management system that will provide Fulton Financial commercial customers with an easy-to-use, highly functional tool to manage accounts. The system integrates accurate, reliable electronic banking services with the latest in Web technology.
"Fiserv has provided us with an entire suite of products that will help make our customers more successful," Shreiner added. "We want to focus on relationship management, not just processing transactions."
"With the Fiserv CRM solution and its enhanced capabilities, Fulton can better target customer contact activities and establish more significant relationships with customers," said James Puzniak, President of the Fiserv Pittsburgh Center. "In addition, providing the right solutions delivered in the most cost-effective and efficient manner helps our clients grow their businesses and enhances the services offered to their customers."
Shreiner said Fulton Financial also appreciated the Fiserv Pittsburgh Center's ISO 9001 certification. "However, Fiserv performance in terms of day-to-day service speaks for itself," he said.
"Our ISO 9001 certification is part of our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to the financial services industry," said Puzniak. "It not only marks our ability to continue to meet the strict quality system requirements, but provides the foundation upon which we continue to enhance our total quality programs."
