Epson Lowers the Price of Four of Its Hottest Imaging Products

Prices Now Even More Affordable on EPSON Perfection 610 Scanner
and All-In-One Peripherals, the EPSON Stylus Scan 2000
and Stylus Scan 2500/2500 Pro
Epson America Inc., leader in high quality, award-winning imaging products, announced that it has reduced the price of its EPSON Perfection(TM)610 scanner and EPSON Stylus(R) Scan 2000, EPSON Stylus Scan 2500/2500 Pro all-in-one models.
The EPSON Perfection 610, which is the perfect choice for entry-level customers, is now available for an estimated street price of $99. This scanner delivers a maximum hardware resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi and 36-bit color depth for phenomenal sharpness, detail and color accurate scans.
The EPSON Stylus Scan 2000 is now available for an estimated street price of $149 and is a no-compromise color printing solution with high-quality scanning and convenient color copying capabilities.
The EPSON Stylus Scan 2500/2500 Pro models utilize the same technology as the EPSON Stylus Scan 2000, but also feature Epson's award-winning flatbed scanner technology. The EPSON Stylus Scan 2500 is now available for $299 ($199 with rebate) and the EPSON Stylus Scan 2500 Pro, which includes an automatic document feeder, is available for a street price of $399 ($299 with rebate). The $100 mail-in rebate is currently in effect and will be available through December 31, 2000.

The EPSON Perfection 610 also provides 36-bit color depth for phenomenal sharpness, detail and color accurate scans, in addition to one-touch scanning with a simplified, yet powerful scanner driver. Epson's TWAIN driver is compatible with most TWAIN-compliant Macintosh and PC applications and provides an easy-to-use interface that makes scanning text and photos a snap for consumers at any level.
The Perfection 610 includes a full-featured software package that gives customers the power to edit, organize and print simply and efficiently. With its high quality, USB plug `n' play scanning solution, the Perfection 610 meets the needs of a variety of customers, especially scanning novices, at an affordable price.

The EPSON Perfection 610's software bundle includes: PictureWorks(R) Hot Shots(TM) for image editing, NewSoft(TM) Presto!(TM) PageManager for document management, Newsoft(TM) Presto!(TM) PageManager OCR for scanning text and Broderbund(R) The PrintShop(TM) PressWriter(TM) for extra creative publishing tools.
Additionally, consumers can redeem by mail two bonus software programs from 15 different home, design or photo-oriented titles. Epson's easy-to-use TWAIN driver is also included with the EPSON Perfection 610 and offers built-in intelligence to allow the user to scan with intuitive interfaces and fewer settings.

Designed to increase productivity as well as creativity, the EPSON Stylus Scan 2000 also comes equipped with a 300 x 600 dpi, 36-bit sheetfed scanner able to record more than 68 billion colors on a single scan.
