CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 2000
TearDrop(R) Golf Company (NASDAQ SC Symbol:TDRP), maker of premium branded golf equipment and accessories, today unveiled its new TearDrop TD Select putter line. The ten new TD Select putters combine patent pending ROLL-FACE(R) Technology (RFT) with a unique dimple pattern on the face. Each putter is produced using 303 stainless steel resulting in the ultimate feel in putting. The TD Select putters have a suggested retail price of $140 and are scheduled to ship in mid-September.
Jeff Matheson, Vice President of Brand Management for TearDrop Golf Company, said, "The new TD Select putters not only offer ROLL-FACE Technology (RFT), which is designed to compensate for the inconsistencies of a golfer's hand position, but feature enhanced RFT, through the use of dimples, to reduce dwell time and produce more controlled speed and distance. With the growing success of ROLL-FACE Technology, the ability to now offer the TD Select at a popular price-point will attract an even greater audience of golfers."
TD Select putters feature:
-- ROLL-FACE Technology (RFT) works to control speed and distance
by ensuring consistent dynamic loft at the point of impact
regardless of hand position. This technology is achieved
through a precise CNC milled process, which positions the
proper radius on the face of each putter.
-- Reduced dwell time through a dimple pattern on the face of the
putter. The function of the design is to reduce the amount of
contact area between the face and ball during impact. The
faster the ball separates from the face, the more controlled
the speed, direction and distance of the putt.
-- Ten putters (nine right hand and one left hand) feature a
variety of body styles and hosel designs.
-- Smoked-Chrome Finish
-- Lamkin(R) Cross-Line putter grip and True Temper(R) steel
shafts are used for the TD Select putters.
