shed roofs to cathedral ceilings.
7. The Collision Detection feature helps avoid costly mistakes.
For example, the program will not allow you to place a
refrigerator on top of a sink or a chair inside of a wall.
8. Multiple Views of the same drawing can be viewed
simultaneously. For example, working in 2D and seeing the
results in 3D. This gives the user the ability to move through
their creation in a realistic scale.
"The new FloorPlan offers a Materials Estimator, a Custom Cabinet Builder, a Style Manager, a Layer Display Filter, Corel OCR Trace and a Print Space Manager making it a great tool for anyone involved in the housing trade, craftsmen or designers. Building a room or a house and automatically keeping track of the costs, is a benefit to everyone," said Smith.
Four Essential Tools for Design
The Materials Estimator works with designs to produce an accurate bill of materials list. Users can edit, print or export material lists into easy-to-import, Microsoft Excel(R) compatible files and keep track of information such as product descriptions, manufacturer information, room-by-room cost allowances, quantities, units and pricing.
The Custom Cabinet Builder can meet any design requirements. Users can choose from more than 40 cabinet symbols, then add or remove the backsplash, toe space or nose, select the door and drawer styles, then add the finishing touches with custom materials, surface textures and colors.
The Style Manager allows users to import and keep track of all of their custom 3D symbols by categorizing and adding new 3D objects to the FloorPlan software. Users can add and delete symbols to create custom libraries, and then customize them to match a design and create the exact room style desired.
The Layer Display Filter can turn entire element layers on and off with a single click or drill-down to specific objects like walls, furniture, lighting and appliances.
TurboProject Express
TurboProject Express allows users to manage a remodel or design project by tracking project scheduling, monitoring timelines, estimating labor expenses, reviewing changes, and managing work crews. Plus, both applications are easy to learn and offer dozens of tools, information, and an intuitive interface.
