"Our clients are now looking to invest in technology that will demonstrate a quick return and streamline their processes," says Peter Pampillonio, President and CEO of Core Technology Partners. "As one of the early companies implementing the SharePoint Portal Server we are gaining valuable experience that will prove beneficial to our clients."
The benefits of Core's deployment of SharePoint are numerous. By connecting C.B. Fleet's organization with external distributors and subsidiaries, in an environment that facilitates shared information, Core Technology Partners expects to achieve significant ROI for their client.
"This portal project is an excellent way to improve communications with our international distributors and to enhance our ability to share knowledge and important documentation on a global level," said Steve Ruhf, Director of International Business for C.B. Fleet. "Having Microsoft's SharePoint Portal technology behind the project gives us and our distributors a tremendous amount of confidence in our global initiatives moving forward."
Core worked with C.B. Fleet to assess their existing business processes and
communication flows between C.B. Fleet and its international distributors. From the strategy assessment, Core recommended a secured extranet to facilitate communication, streamline processes and enhance knowledge between C.B. Fleet corporate and their international distributors. "SharePoint is a perfect fit, from a technology, budget and timing perspective," adds Pampillonio.
Core Technology Partners anticipates that many companies will benefit from the newly released SharePoint technology. The portal environment improves business processes, promotes access to business information and supports collaboration among peers and partners, resulting in a competitive edge.
Core Technology Partners is one of several companies that have embraced the SharePoint technology, including Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Cambridge Management Consulting, Dell, Hewlett Packard, and Unisys.
