BTG Awarded GSA Cost Management Services Contract

BTG, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTGI), announced that its team has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Government's General Services Administration (GSA) to provide cost engineering services to federal agencies.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, which was awarded to BTG and four other prime contractors, has a one-year base period with up to four one-year option periods. BTG's contract has a not-to-exceed value of $5 million per year. BTG's team members include URS Group, Inc.; PMA Consultants LLC; Space Management Consultants, Inc.; Robinson & Associates, Inc.; Zaxon, Inc.; and Hughes Associates, Inc.

The specialized cost engineering, value engineering and scheduling services offered under the contract will be available to GSA regional offices throughout the United States and to all federal agencies that manage design and construction programs. Cost engineering services are used throughout the development and delivery of a project or property, including planning, design, construction, operations, and shutdown.

The services that the BTG team will provide under the terms of the contract include:

--Development of new guidelines, policies, procedure manuals, training guides, benchmarking and measurement standards and programs;

--Development, management, and/or purchase of cost management tools, systems and databases;

--Feasibility studies, including economic growth, labor productivity, and projects and programs;

--Analyses, including economic, cost-to-benefit, risk management, cost and price, liability, constructability, schedule, and market analyses;

--Property condition and cost assessments; cost and price forecasting; development and management of cost and schedule control systems;

--Value engineering/value management services and earned value management systems;

--Contract negotiations support;

--Resource and activity planning/scheduling; and

--Claims management and analyses.
