ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2001
Lawson Software today announced it has signed a major e-business solution contract with Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. (The Fund), Florida's leading title insurance underwriter. The Orlando-based company licensed lawson.insight(TM) Financials, Human Resources, Procurement and Distribution engines, Analytic and Open Component Extensions and e-Orders, e-Human Resources Center and e-Requisitions Self-Evident Applications(R) (SEA).
The Fund was seeking an enterprise business management system that leveraged 360 degree e-business processes to provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Of particular concern was the ability to integrate an order entry solution with the company's policy processing system. Lawson's proven ability to deliver on the company's requirements with advanced technology solutions was a key factor in being selected from a field that included Oracle and JD Edwards.
"The Fund has a technology strategy that fits well with Lawson's approach to open computing and extending the reach of e-business solutions," said Jeannie Calabrese, vice president, Information Services, Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. "We want to leverage the efficiencies of automated e-business processes to reduce expense, and Lawson has the solutions that let us do it."
"Lawson is becoming an enterprise solution set that many financial services companies prefer for managing their demanding business operations," said Tim Plunkett, director, Financial Services Marketing, Lawson Software. "Some of the leading insurance companies in North America use Lawson to run their financial and accounting processes. Lawson has proven itself to be reliable and scalable enough to meet and exceed the demands of the largest financial institutions, yet flexible enough to accommodate the evolving requirements of mid-size companies."
