Collaboration with Creative Media/PHD Addresses
Specific Needs of the Industry
Jovio, Inc., in collaboration with Creative Media/PHD, part of the Omnicom Media Group, has developed reporting formats and systems that seamlessly integrate into the reporting systems recognized throughout the advertising and media buying industries.
Jovio is a pioneer in software technologies that enable cable and satellite operators to permissively-profile and deliver individually targeted commercial advertisements that address a TV viewer's specific interests and brand preferences.
"We were happy to get involved at the ground level of this exciting new technology. Omnicom is always looking for inventive media with real potential to impact the advertising industry," said Mickey Marks, President and CEO Creative Media. "Jovio's targeted marketing technology will allow us to get a higher return on our clients' advertising investment."
Various departments within Creative Media, such as media planners, local and national broadcast buyers, direct response planners, media research, and information technology specialists reviewed and critiqued Jovio's Viewer Profiling model as well as their Order Entry System.
The systems will be used to identify those individuals the advertiser wants to reach based on specific demographic, pyschographic and purchase behavior characteristics set by the advertiser, and then aggregate those viewers into well-defined affinity groups that will receive specific commercial announcements according to the specific communications objectives, strategies and tactics of the advertiser.
This includes Jovio's Post-Buy Reporting formats as well as the verification provided through a nationally recognized third party.
The groups examined how each would employ various Jovio-derived information segments, including demographic, psychographic, geographic and purchasing behaviors, in their reporting systems to identify the highly targeted affinity groups they need to reach.
For example, Jovio's technology has the ability to identify consumers with a strong affinity for high-end sports cars and then deliver targeted Porsche commercials to those individuals living within a certain mile radius of every Porsche car dealership.
It is this type of highly specialized advertising that is crucial for all groups within media services companies such as Creative Media, which handles media and strategy placement for Porsche.
"Our goal is to enable all departments of an ad agency to derive useful information from our viewer profiling and targeted ad delivery technology," said Richard Roberts, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Jovio. "With the guidance and insight provided by Creative Media, we have designed reporting systems and formats that agencies can easily understand and that address the current and future requirements of the media buying industry."
