Partnership To Provide Internet-Based Project and Content
Collaboration Solutions for Architecture/Engineering/Construction
Market
FileNET Corp. (Nasdaq:FILE), a leading provider of eProcess Management software solutions, today announced that eQuorum Corp., a leading provider of Internet-based solutions for a variety of industries worldwide, has joined FileNET's ValueNET(R) partner program.
Partnering with FileNET will help eQuorum offer their customers in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) markets a robust eContent and eProcess management solution that complements eQuorum's ImageSite(R), a Web-based solution for document collaboration, distribution and printing.
Under the ValueNET program, FileNET provides software and developer support to facilitate the integration of complementary software products, such eQuorum's ImageSite, with FileNET's eProcess Management platform.
"AEC companies must manage and work with large volumes of project documents, which include CAD files, large format engineering drawings, and more," said Dan Marshall, director of business alliances at eQuorum.
"The combination of FileNET's robust content management with our ImageSite software helps project teams in the AEC marketplace leverage the speed of the Internet to quickly find, access and collaborate with the information they need."
ImageSite helps AEC project participants collaborate with project documents regardless of location. Instead of printing large volumes of paper documents and mailing them to geographically disperse project participants, the documents can be accessed, viewed and marked up over the Internet, expediting the review and approval process.
Other ImageSite features include note threads that work like sticky notes attached to a paper document and are used to conduct online project discussions. Real-time online meetings can also be held with participants from multiple locations to view and mark up project documents.
ImageSite's encapsulation feature can be used to e-mail documents with a built-in viewer to remote project participants for their review. All of these features can significantly shorten project cycle time.
"eQuorum's collaborative solutions add real value to FileNET's eContent and eProcess Management platforms," said George Bennett, vice president, channel sales for FileNET. "ImageSite leverages our Panagon products, providing powerful collaboration tools that allow our joint AEC customers to realize significant productivity and efficiency gains."
"By partnering with FileNET we demonstrate our commitment to solving the unique needs of the AEC community with a best-of-breed solution," said Marshall.
