Synygy CEO to Host Live WorldatWork Web Chat: Using Incentive Compensation to Drive the Top and Bottom Line
Business Wire, April 19, 2001

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2001
Mark Stiffler, president and CEO of Synygy Inc., the largest provider of Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM) software and services, will be hosting a Web chat on the WorldatWork Web site (www.worldatwork.org) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Eastern Time, on Tuesday, April 24, 2001.
WorldatWork is a global not-for-profit association of more than 26,000 human resources professionals, consultants, educators that focuses on attracting, retaining, and motivating employees.
As one of the foremost authorities on the use of incentive compensation and variable-based pay, Mr. Stiffler will share his perspective on how companies can use incentives--for both sales and non-sales employees and partners--to better execute the corporate strategy and drive increased revenue.
"Incentives can have a tremendous impact across the entire organization," said Stiffler. "Your electronic business strategy might be the future of the company, but if your incentive plan pays people more for doing business the old way, you will most likely fail. If you align your plan to your strategy, you are one step closer to getting your employees behind the execution of your strategy."
Stiffler will also discuss how timeliness, accuracy, and understandability all play a role in making an incentive plan succeed or fail in accomplishing its objectives. "Do your people understand your incentive plan and the company strategy that is embodied in your plan?" asks Stiffler. "Our experience shows that less than a third of the employees on a plan are able to explain how the plan works. That is a recipe for failure."
