MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 2001
Actional Corporation, a provider of direct-connect integration solutions for e-business, today announced an extension of its IBM Business Partner relationship which will enable Actional Control Broker (ACB) to leverage IBM MQSeries(a) and IBM WebSphere(b) software with the company's Control Broker Application Integration solutions.
Actional Control Brokers (ACBs) will work with IBM MQSeries and IBM WebSphere to help eliminate the need for hand coding, providing customers with the ability to get their applications up and running in weeks, rather than the months it could take with other integration approaches. In addition, ACB solutions provide easy access to information otherwise locked in back-end applications; with ACBs, when a back-end system is changed, the changes become immediately and automatically accessible to the front-end system. As a result, ACBs make it easy for customers to integrate this platform to any of the 50 applications it supports.
Easy information access is an additional benefit to customers, aided by the near zero latency of ACB solutions. With ACBs, no messages are passed and no message transformations or translations are required, so the number of network hops required is less than half of that required for more conventional integration solutions.
"We are delighted with our newly extended relationship with IBM and to embrace the technology of IBM MQSeries and IBM WebSphere," said John Spenser, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. "Through this new agreement, our customers will be empowered to deliver the powerful e-business applications their respective markets require in competitive environments."
