MINNEAPOLIS--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--April 23, 2001

BestBuy.com(TM), Inc., a wholly owned Internet subsidiary of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), announced today "The ABCs of Rock", a promotion featuring 26 musicians in 26 weeks.

Starting April 22, BestBuy.com will highlight a musician whose name starts with the corresponding letter of the alphabet. Biographies and images of the artist will be provided by RollingStone.com, and a list of the musician's albums will be available for viewing or purchase. Music fans can also check out other top talents whose names begin with the letter of the week.

BestBuy.com anticipates that music fans will come away with an in-depth knowledge of some of today's and yesterday's top recording artists. For example, did you know that AC/DC overcame the loss of their frontman Bon Scott and their next album reached number three on the U.S. music charts?

A feature on AC/DC will kick off "The ABCs of Rock", followed by The Beatles and Eric Clapton for weeks two and three. Other featured musicians will be announced on the site in the following weeks. Music fans can access "The ABCs of Rock" through www.BestBuy.com.
