GE Capital Selects Experian's Hosted Database Solution and NCR's Teradata to Provide CRM Capabilities; Customized Database to Integrate GE Customer Data

Experian, a leading provider of global information solutions, and Teradata, a division of NCR Corp. (NYSE:NCR), today announced that GE Capital's Card Services division has selected them to implement a comprehensive, hosted customer relationship management (CRM) database solution.
The solution combines Experian's advanced customer data integration and data management solutions with the industry-leading Teradata(R) database to assist GE Card Services in communicating the right message to the right customer, using the right channel, at the right time. The multi-year, multi-million dollar project will be operational in June 2001.
GE Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric Co., is a global company providing financial services for consumers and businesses, as well as insurance services and equipment management. GE Card Services is a leader in providing credit services to retailers and consumers. GE Card Services provides private label credit cards for hundreds of retailers across North America serving more than 70 million cardholders.
Experian and Teradata had previously announced their alliance to market highly scalable CRM data warehousing solutions. With this agreement, Experian provides clients with hosted customer data integration and data management solutions with Teradata serving as the database engine.

The solution will integrate customer data from many disparate and unique sources into one customer centric marketing solution for GE Card Services. The solution will be customized to meet GE's retail partner's complex requirements and marketing needs. It will be powered by Experian's industry leading customer data integration technology and vast data resources.
