LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2001

Ultimate Sports Entertainment, Inc. (OTCBB:ULSP) announces that Discover(R) and the Anaheim Angels(TM) will be promoting the first Superhero Collectible Comic Book event of the 2001 MLB season on May 4, 2001 at Edison International Field when the Angels host the Detroit Tigers (see promo flyer at http://www.noblehouseofboston.com/ulsp/index.html ). Angels fans in attendance ages 12 years-old and under will be given a copy of the "Angels Dig In" comic book. The story features Angels players Troy Glaus, Darin Erstad, Bengie Molina, Garret Anderson and Manager Mike Scioscia saving Earth from an evil villain who is threatening to take over the world. "In addition to turning the Angels superstars into superheroes, we are also establishing an exciting new product for the collectible market, as well as promoting literacy with so many kids reading our book," said ULSP President Rick Licht. He went on to add, "We hope and expect that this will be the first of many promotional opportunities between Ultimate Sports and Anaheim Sports, Inc."

"This is a part of a new overall marketing strategy to deliver a high-perceived value item to drive incremental ticket sales and fulfill fans expectations of a ballpark experience," said Anaheim Sports, Inc. Director of Marketing Robert Alvarado. "By portraying our Angels players in a fun and non-traditional role as superheroes," continues Alvarado, "we help fuel the perception that our players are more accessible to our fan base. And based on the New York Mets program in 2000, we saw this as an opportunity to generate incremental publicity for the Angels and our key players."

"This promotion will be very similar to Ultimate Sports' successful DiGiorno Pizza sponsored `Amazin' Mets Comic Book Day' held July 1, 2000 at Shea Stadium in New York," says Licht. Rave reviews and extensive coverage from highly respected media outlets such as ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC's "Today New York," the Howard Stern radio show, Associated Press, New York Post, New York Newsday and many others dominated the press and airwaves when 15,000 collectible comic books were given out to children fourteen years and younger upon entering the stadium. The media flocked to see Mets players Mike Piazza, John Franco and others saving the Statue of Liberty and the No. 7 train from an evil genius and his robot henchmen as they tried to take over New York City. "We were pleasantly surprised by the tremendous national and regional media coverage of our promotional day with DiGiorno and the Mets, not to mention the overwhelming support from the players themselves," said Licht.

Ultimate Sports Entertainment, Inc. is a Los Angeles based entertainment company that creates, develops and publishes superhero based action/adventure/fantasy stories in collectible comic book form by using world-famous artists and writers. "Ultimate Sports has taken a marketable commodity, the superstar athlete, and created a brand-new licensing, merchandising and premium sponsorship entity," added Licht. Current titles include famous athletes such as: Mark McGwire; Sammy Sosa; Cal Ripken Jr.; Derek Jeter; Alex Rodriguez; Roger Clemens; Mike Piazza; Ken Griffey, Jr.; Barry Bonds; Troy Aikman; Dan Marino; Brett Favre; Peyton Manning; John Elway; Terrell Davis and many others.

Ultimate Sports currently has licensing agreements with the Major League Baseball Players Association; Major League Baseball Properties; NFL Properties, NFL Quarterback Club and the NHL Players Association.
