Using WorldStream's Recently Launched Interactive Communications
Service that Delivers Freedom from Time, Space and
Location Constraints
WorldStream Communications, Inc. (www.worldstream.com) today announced new customers E.piphany (Nasdaq:EPNY), the Information Technology Association (www.itaa.org), The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) (www.shrm.org), and AIIM International (www.aiim.org).
No terms were disclosed.
All are using WorldStream's hosted interactive communications service to deliver meetings, presentations, training, and other work-related "events" to the desktop -- instead of always having to conduct them live or in-person. This freedom from time, space and location constraints increases productivity, while significantly reducing corporate travel and time loss expenses.
WorldStream's service combines streaming video and audio with the interactivity of PowerPoint(R) slides, group and private chat, email, links, Q/A, and polling -- with extensive real time reporting that tracks user participation, email addresses, feedback, questions asked, quiz and poll results, and more.
Based in the Bay Area, E.piphany is a $127 million software company with more than 1,000 employees working out of 12 cities in the United States as well as the UK, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
"The whole nature and culture of how we train our sales and channel teams is completely changed. With WorldStream, the expense and logistics of getting everyone in the same room at the same time are eliminated, allowing us to concentrate on better equipping our teams in the field with the information they need to sell more efficiently," says Volney Spalding, E.piphany director of sales development.
Continued Spalding, "Whether it's a new product launch, or a new pricing structure, we can quickly and easily disseminate the information to everyone and get their feedback instantly."
The WorldStream service can support 10,000 live users simultaneously, or unlimited users for on demand viewing. If participants can't view the event or meeting live, there's no disadvantage: events and meetings can be archived for convenient viewing and review, and content can also be re-purposed throughout the organization. Additionally, there's no need to download network-clogging software -- audience members need only a Real(TM) Player or Windows Media(TM) player to logon to events.
"In today's fast paced environment, professionals need immediate access to the information which will allow them to perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively," said Barbara Sadek, director of education, SHRM. "Through WorldStream we have been able to provide information vital to our members in a timely and cost effective manner."
WorldStream offers turnkey production services or easy-to-use, browser-based tools for scheduling, producing and delivering the events.
