Gregory J. Cross Named Senior Vice President-Revenue Management of Hilton Hotels Corp

Gregory J. Cross has been named senior vice president-revenue management of Hilton Hotels Corp., according to Dieter Huckestein, executive vice president, Hilton Hotels, and president-hotel operations, owned and managed.
Cross most recently served as vice president-revenue management for the company.
In his position, Cross will be responsible for planning and directing revenue management strategies and pricing policy, and for developing and implementing the use of revenue management and marketing systems for the hotels division.
Additionally, he will be responsible for assisting in the development of revenue management at the hotel level, including objectives affecting guest and public room rental and other related areas. Cross also oversees Global Database Management operations in both Dallas and Memphis, Tenn. He reports directly to Huckestein.
Cross began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels in 1980 as assistant director of front office and assistant manager at the former Los Angeles Hilton and Towers.
In 1983, Cross was promoted to director of front office operations at the Pasadena Hilton. In 1985, he was named director of front office operations for the former Irvine Hilton and Towers. In 1987, Cross became director of front office operations for the Chicago Hilton and Towers, before being named executive assistant manager at that hotel in 1988.
In July 1991, Cross was promoted to regional director of front office operations-Eastern Region for Hilton Hotels, where he was responsible for monitoring team member effectiveness, processes and organization for all front office and reservations department management for Hilton hotels in the Eastern Region of the United States.
From August 1995 to April 1997, Cross served as corporate director of revenue management for the company, and was responsible for developing Hilton Hotels' current revenue management strategies, pricing policy and the use of revenue management systems for the company.
A native of La Crosse, Wis., Cross earned a bachelor of arts degree from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
