INDIANAPOLIS & STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 2001
Interaction Management Product With New Reverse White Pages Look-Up
and Demographic Database Designed to Improve Effectiveness
of Direct Marketing Campaigns
Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq:ININ), a global developer of interaction management software, signed a technology licensing agreement allowing ThinkDirectMarketing.com Inc. (TDMI) to integrate its data capture software, called TDM DigitalData(TM), with Interactive Intelligence's Customer Interaction Center(TM) (CIC).
The integrated product will enable contact centers to append customer information to previously unknown caller records prior to those records being "popped" by CIC to an agent's computer screen. It will also provide call validation and updates for known customer relationships. Productivity is expected to increase by eliminating the need for agents to ask customers for their name and query their account information.
TDMI, a business-to-business applications service provider, will sell the integrated product nationwide to inbound and outbound contact centers, designer/manufacturers, telecommunications carriers and interactive voice response and point-of-sale systems integrators. The product is scheduled for release in conjunction with the release of CIC version 2.0, expected in the second quarter of 2001.
TDM DigitalData(TM) is a software application designed to capture elements of a caller record, such as phone numbers and company names and addresses, via an automated number identification system, IVR, or telephone keypad response. These elements are then matched against TDMI's TDM North American Database, which is updated in real time, and returned in a matter of seconds with complete geographic information attached.
CIC by Interactive Intelligence is an open, software-based solution that turns a Windows 2000 server into a comprehensive interaction management system for contact centers. CIC's unified architecture was designed as a simple, less expensive alternative to computer telephony integration solutions. CIC offers many features, including a digital PBX, soft phone, interactive voice response, multimedia routing and queuing, screen pop, Internet text chat, web callback and call monitoring and recording.
"Our technical alliance with Interactive Intelligence will give customers a complete solution combining industry-specific applications with a multi-channel interaction management platform so vital in today's digital economy," said Edward Fleiss, vice president of Embedded Technology. "With an estimated savings of $1.00 to $2.00 per call based on increased efficiencies, this new solution is not only comprehensive, but also amazingly affordable."
"CIC was designed from the start to optimize the power of third-party applications such as those provided by TDMI," said Dr. Donald E. Brown, president and CEO of Interactive Intelligence. "Now CIC can `pre-populate' caller records with the vast store of information found in TDMI's database. Direct marketing campaigns can be executed without manual lookups or transcription, making it an incredibly efficient and cost-effective solution."
