PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 2001
PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) today announced that PeopleSoft eCenter's Customer Support unit has passed the rigorous International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 certification audit. PeopleSoft eCenter is PeopleSoft's next-generation application hosting service.
The ISO is a nonprofit organization that develops strict guidelines to measure international standards of good management. Independent auditor Det Norske Veritis tested PeopleSoft eCenter Customer Support on a number of items, including case management, escalation, processes, customer satisfaction and feedback, roles and responsibilities and measurement of key objectives.
"PeopleSoft eCenter was founded on the principle that customer satisfaction is the key to winning in the ASP market place," said Deepak Gupta, general manager and senior vice president of PeopleSoft eCenter. "The certification proves that our support team has the knowledge, processes, tools and commitment to keep our customers happy and our organization successful."
In addition to measuring the level and quality of customer support, the audit also assessed the processes an organization uses to control costs and lower overall operating expenses.
ISO 9001 sets the requirements for an organization with business processes that range from design and development, to production, installation and servicing.
