Babson #1 'Hidden Gem' in Wall Street Journal Ranking

The Wall Street Journal has named Babson College's MBA program the top "hidden gem" among business management programs worldwide. Babson is also ranked #1 in Student Entrepreneurial Skills, #3 among Top Teaching Schools for Entrepreneurship, and 40th overall among MBA programs.
This survey, published April 30, is based on the opinion of corporate recruiters.
- Babson is ranked #1 among "Hidden Gems" - "lower profile schools whose graduates sparkle." Recruiters gave Babson graduates "high ratings for their preparation for the New Economy, communication and interpersonal skills, leadership potential, teamwork abilities, and, of course, entrepreneurial talent." - Babson is ranked #1 in Student Entrepreneurial Skills. Babson received "the highest number of perfect scores" from recruiters for its students' entrepreneurial skills. - Babson is ranked #3 among Top Teaching Schools for Entrepreneurship. - Babson is ranked 40th overall out of 50 MBA programs worldwide. (188 U.S. schools and 56 foreign schools were initially eligible and available for ranking by the WSJ.) - Babson is ranked 34th overall among U.S. MBA programs.
The WSJ results are based on a survey by Harris Interactive Inc. of 1,600 recruiters. Each school was rated on 27 factors. A school's final ranking also included its "mass appeal" factor - based on the number of recruiters who rated it.
