LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 2001
Vobix Corporation, a Louisville-based technology company, announced that it has signed an agreement to become an Approved ASP Partner with Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, a leading provider of e-business applications.
As an Approved ASP Partner, Vobix will offer Great Plains eEnterprise and Dynamics applications through a secure link to the Internet, providing hosting capabilities or allowing customers to self-host the applications. Outsourcing management of these applications frees customer IT resources and infrastructure and allows small and medium-sized businesses to focus on core business competencies and improve productivity. Great Plains was recently acquired by software giant Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT).
"This relationship with Great Plains really validates our core mission to help customers work smarter," said Tim Landgrave, president and CEO of Vobix. "Great Plains' market-leading enterprise applications combined with Vobix proprietary software and hosting capabilities take the pain out of IT resource management and help our customers focus on what they do best. We're one of only 13 Great Plains Approved ASP Partners in the world and the first in this area. That we consistently perform to their high standards speaks volumes about our capabilities and positions us well to serve small to medium-sized businesses throughout this region."
Vobix' data center infrastructure is provided by Louisville-based Xodiax, whose nationally certified and recognized services were a major factor in Vobix earning the Approved ASP Partner designation. Great Plains' interconnected business management solutions improve business efficiency by helping customers better manage their financials, e-commerce, customer relationships, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing, human resources, payroll and more. Vobix utilizes Microsoft 2000 technology and the full suite of Microsoft products with the Great Plains applications to round out its fully integrated offering.
"It is important that we work with partners like Microsoft and Great Plains who value quality and will live up to our mutual customer's expectations and standards," said Landgrave. "Vobix is a subsidiary of ManTech, a company that has been solving information technology problems for nearly 30 years. That stability and proven effectiveness helps Vobix not only navigate the current market turbulence itself but guide customers through those waters as well."
