EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 2001

TransactPlus, a provider of managed transaction delivery services over the Internet and managed IP networks, selected EMC Corporation to provide Enterprise Storage systems and software for their Transaction Delivery Network (TDN), a 24x7 global, managed network service ensuring secure, guaranteed delivery of e-business transactions.

TransactPlus decided to implement EMC Symmetrix(R) Enterprise Storage systems and software to provide customers with 100% reliable and available transaction storage. Symmetrix information storage systems scale rapidly and support multiple IP network protocols and environments, allowing TransactPlus customers to rapidly build and scale e-business relationships. TransactPlus is also deploying EMC TimeFinder(TM) software to increase efficiency and support continuous network operation.

"TransactPlus' transaction delivery network relies on an EMC E-Infostructure(TM) at its core, demonstrating its commitment to excellence," said Jack Garrahan, EMC's Vice President of Global Marketing. "By offering customers access to an EMC E-Infostructure, TransactPlus gives customers the confidence that their information needs will continue to be met as they grow."

Global 2000 companies and e-businesses must ensure that inter-company business transactions are reliably and securely delivered over their trading networks. Traditional IP networks lack the infrastructure for secure, guaranteed delivery of transactions across firewalls. As the industry's first TDN, the TransactPlus Network simplifies e-business initiatives by providing a managed network service for 100% guaranteed, secure transaction flow between businesses over the Internet or private networks.

Launched in April 2000 as a LabMorgan-driven spin-off from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., TransactPlus is building out its global network from core technology developed at J.P. Morgan Chase, whose own TDN delivers over $800 billion of business transactions every day.

"As storage costs rise and the need to monitor B2B transaction flow increases, more companies will look to outsource business-quality enterprise storage and transaction delivery infrastructure," said, Dan Tanner, senior analyst, storage and management group for Aberdeen Group. "Together, enterprise storage providers and transaction delivery networks will simplify and assure the back-up, monitoring, and management of transactional data."

"EMC enterprise storage systems provide the mission critical storage we need to guarantee our customers with a high level of performance and availability," said Joe Gigas, senior vice president, network services of TransactPlus. "Our EMC E-Infostructure helps us offer business-quality service to companies whose transactions must be 100% accounted for."
