PALM DESERT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 2001
SanOne Inc., an Alanco Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:ALAN) company and a leading Storage Area Network (SAN) provider specializing in enterprise storage solutions, today announced unprecedented built-in connectivity provided by Cisco's (Nasdaq:CSCO) iSCSI technology integration into SanOne's DAMstor(TM) product line.
This new development is the result of a close technical cooperation involving extensive testing of Cisco storage routing products in the SanOne Interoperability Lab, and resulting in the certification of Cisco's SN5420 as an integral component of SanOne's DAMstor architecture.

On the commercial side, SanOne becomes a Cisco Premier Partner, anxious to complement the 7,000-strong Cisco sales force with SanOne's expertise in best-of-breed SAN solutions.
"We are delighted with our Cisco relationship," declared Mike Flannery, president of SanOne.
"Cisco's network dominance, combined with their validation of SAN connectivity, brings customers the direction they need to address the explosive requirements of today's e-commerce applications. SanOne's expertise combines ideally with Cisco's strategic direction and superior network technology to provide the seamless price-performant integration required of today's storage networking solutions."
Cisco's SN5420 storage router, offered as a standard option within SanOne's DAMstor 2500V product, will enable remote servers to use central SAN storage as easily as they would a local drive, by routing storage traffic over Gigabit Ethernet LANs or commercial services using iSCSI protocols.
This remote capability allows users to consolidate islands of computing and storage into an effective, manageable service using existing network infrastructure and expertise.
Storage network convergence will be the central theme for SanOne's show-floor demonstrations and executive suite briefings at the Storage Networking World conference now in progress in Palm Desert.
