LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 2001
Bells will be ringing throughout Times Square for one lucky couple this summer as the pair gets hitched on ABC News "Good Morning America."
"Good Morning America" and WeddingChannel.com are teaming up to find America's greatest love stories. Viewers across the country are invited to send in their most amazing love stories through letters and e-mail. On June 22, "Good Morning America" and the official wedding experts at WeddingChannel.com will throw a wedding bash for one lucky couple in the heart of Times Square.
On Monday, April 9, "Good Morning America" contributor Lara Spencer will start the fun at the "Good Morning America" Times Square studio when she kicks off the series, "Happily Ever After: Love in Times Square."
Last year, Spencer invited viewers to celebrate her nuptials from start to finish as she planned her wedding and taped a video diary of the festivities for "Good Morning America." Building on her personal experience, Spencer will help another couple plan their wedding day.
Between April 9 until April 20, viewers are invited to send "Good Morning America" and WeddingChannel.com a short essay describing their amazing love story and why they want to share their wedding with the world. All stories should be sent to the "Good Morning America" Web page at www.ABCNEWS.com or www.WeddingChannel.com.
Five finalists will be announced on the air on Monday, May 21, and a different couple will be profiled on "Good Morning America" every day that week. Viewers are also invited to read the love stories and select their favorite couple on ABCNEWS.com.
"Good Morning America" will follow the chosen couple as they prepare to walk down the aisle during the weeks leading up to the big day. On June 22, the pair will be treated to the perfect Times Square wedding, followed by a luxury honeymoon planned by the specialists at WeddingChannel.com.
