Rambus Inc. Shareholder Retains Abraham & Paskowitz For Class Action Suit To Be Commenced in Virginia

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 2001
Abraham & Paskowitz has been retained on behalf of purchasers of Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq: RMBS - news) during the period between January 18, 2000 and May 9, 2001 to file a class action suit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
The Complaint will allege that statements by and on behalf of Rambus during this period were false and misleading in that they misrepresented that Rambus had developed unique and proprietary technology, while in fact Rambus had utilized information obtained during participation is standards-setting industry groups in obtaining certain patents. On May 9, 2001, a jury in the Eastern District of Virginia found that some of the most pertinent asserted patented technology had been obtained by improper activities. Thereafter, the stock fell significantly in reaction to this news.
