On2 Technologies Launches VP3.com; Source Code for Groundbreaking Codec Technology to be Made Available on September 6

The new site will allow users to download source code, post enhancements and provide a forum for discussion for the Open Source community.
Currently, users can visit VP3.com and view a draft of the license, download VP3 for QuickTime (both Mac and Windows versions available) or VP3 for Windows. The first release of the source code for the groundbreaking VP3.2 video compression algorithm will be made available to the public on Thursday, September 6, 2001.
Since the August 7 announcement of making VP3.2 available to the Open Source Community, On2 has received numerous requests for a site dedicated to the release of the source code.
