BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 2001
Learning and entertainment collide in Disney Interactive's "Zoog Disney: Zoog Genius Learning Series," an interactive CD-ROM quiz show for "tweens," kids ages 9 to 12.
The two titles, "Zoog Genius Math, Science and Technology" and "Zoog Genius Language Arts, History and Geography" are both based on Zoog Disney, Disney Channel's programming block that features characters from original series, original movies, music and specials relevant to the "tween" lifestyle.
"Zoog Genius" contains age-appropriate content and activities that let kids compete in a fun and irreverent, yet educational trivia game with their favorite Zoog Disney stars. Contestants chase pop culture-themed questions through the high-speed Zeether, the nebulous world that lies somewhere between the computer and the television, on their quest to earn "Z.Q." points and reach "Genius" status.
While learning fun facts in a variety of subjects, "tweens" must race against the clock and each other to "buzz in" and correctly answer the questions. Discrete difficulty levels that offer a range of point values keep the subject matter interesting, challenging and fun.
Each title is loaded with more than 700 questions and lots of humorous talk show-style banter. Parents and teachers can customize the program by adding their own questions into the trivia game, creating a personalized and limitless experience. New question packs also can be downloaded from the Internet, keeping kids engaged with fresh content.
"Zoog Genius" is a Windows(R) 95/98/Me and Macintosh compatible CD-ROM with a suggested retail price of $19.99. It is available at retail stores nationwide.
