China's QianFeng Digital Selects EnReach's ITV Software for Broadband IP Media Appliance

EnReach, a global leader providing TV-centric middleware and application software for broadband IP networks announced today that its ITV middleware and media-on-demand software will be licensed by QianFeng Digital, a leading digital video system integrator and equipment manufacturer in China.
QianFeng Digital will market the EnReach-enabled Media Appliance (EMA) to broadband IP service providers throughout China in the fourth quarter of 2001. The low-cost broadband IP Media Appliance will enable service providers to offer video-on-demand, music-on-demand, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and high-speed Internet access services to their subscribers.

The EnReach software platform supports MPEG2 video streaming and MP3 streaming audio support. It is also IPTV-capable via multicasting and supports a full-featured web browser and e-mail. The user interface is a customizable and designed in HTML, for easy customer updates. The software is also remotely upgradeable. Designed by EnReach for modularity, the EnReach iTV core client and server software seamlessly integrates with back-end server infrastructure for service management, provisioning, and integration with billing systems.
