Designed for Customer Empowerment, Efficiency
Avnet Applied Computing (AAC), an operating group of Avnet Inc. (NYSE:AVT), Tuesday announced the completion of Avnet FasTrac 4.0, for AAC customers.
Avnet FasTrac, originally launched one year ago, is a unique, "one stop" portal that allowed AAC customers of the Applied Computing Solutions division to manage their project resources in a secure online environment. Since then, new versions have been released with additional enhancements and refinements. The new version 4.0 includes:
-- Online shopping and advanced part search function -- Enhanced order status features -- Advanced engineering functions -- Improved design and integration tracking -- Expanded Product return management features
"All of the changes that have been made to Avnet FasTrac have been made with one goal in mind: to reduce time-to-market concerns for AAC customers," said AAC President Ed Kamins.
"With the introduction of Avnet FasTrac 4.0, all of AAC's customers now have access to a customized environment, greater functionality, and simpler ease-of-use needed to streamline the product development process as much as possible."
Along with the introduction of Avnet FasTrac 4.0, AAC also unveiled the newly redesigned AAC global Web site that houses the secure Avnet FasTrac portal, along with faster, more intuitive access to AAC's other products, programs and services.
"Both the Web site and Avnet FasTrac 4.0 were designed around feedback from our customer base," added Bob Prezkop, global information officer for AAC. "We understand that our customers need to operate with quickness and efficiency, so both online elements were redesigned with a premium on ease, speed and convenience. We think our current and prospective clients will be pleased with the results."
