LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 2001
United California Bank (UCB) officials announced the appointment of John O. Fox Jr. as senior vice president and commercial banking regional vice president of its San Francisco Commercial Banking Center.
The announcement was made by Steve Takei, first senior vice president for UCB's Commercial Banking Group.
Fox comes to UCB with more than 25 years of successful performance in the financial services industry -- with an emphasis on commercial banking.
"John Fox brings a wealth of commercial banking experience to UCB," said Takei. "As we look to increase the number of commercial relationships in the Bay Area, John's proven track record will lend itself exceptionally well in the highly competitive and extremely dynamic Bay Area economy."
Fox's banking and finance career includes senior-level positions with Union Bank of California and Glendale Federal Bank. Most recently, Fox was executive vice president of OASYS Networks Inc. -- a start-up company that enabled community banks to compete in the Internet economy.
UCB's Commercial Banking Group focuses on core segments of middle markets as well as real estate industries, agribusiness, syndications and financial institutions. The San Francisco Commercial Banking Center houses the business accounts of companies with annual sales exceeding $25 million while providing a wide array of banking and advisory services across a variety of industry groups.
United California Bank, with approximately $11 billion in assets, is the third-largest bank with headquarters in the state and provides a full range of personal, business, international and trust services through a network of 115 branches statewide.
