Websense Inc. (Nasdaq:WBSN) and Inktomi Corp. (Nasdaq:INKT) today announced they have teamed to enable Websense's employee Internet management (EIM) software to work with Inktomi-powered caching appliances available from Compaq, Dell, F5 Networks and Hewlett-Packard.

The seamless integration of Websense's adaptable EIM filtering software and Inktomi-powered caching appliances enables enterprises and government agencies to accelerate Web content to users, while ensuring that all content delivered is managed according to the organization's particular Internet access policy. Websense's EIM filtering software can be customized to manage employee Internet use at any sized company, from small firms to global corporations. With this highly scalable solution, organizations benefit from enhanced end-user productivity and network efficiency.
