Technical Documents from Cessna To Be Published and Distributed

Within Industry Standard Format - Avantext TechPubs(TM) CDs

Worldwide electronic document publisher Avantext, Inc. (www.avantext.com) proudly announces that it is now licensed to reproduce and distribute the technical publications for general aviation propeller driven aircraft manufactured by Cessna Aircraft Company.

According to Matt Davison, Director Business Development for Avantext, "This recent success is the latest and greatest by Avantext, in producing interactive CDROM publications and software tools for the general aviation industry."

Avantext will be releasing the first two of nine TechPubs(TM) CDs for Cessna Propeller Aircraft during the third quarter of 2001. The addition of the Cessna CDROM products into the Avantext product line will enhance the existing Avantext TechPubs(TM) CDs libraries, which include Piper Aircraft, Lycoming Engines, Bell Helicopters, Mooney Aircraft and Maule Aircraft.

The CDROM TechPubs(TM) for Cessna Propeller Aircraft will include complete and current manuals, including both regular and 'Temporary Revisions' as well as the Service Bulletins, as required for aircraft maintenance by the FAA.

The TechPubs(TM) CDs from Avantext are mastered for the user to view the original paper documentation just as the manufacturer produces the page. Aircraft mechanics, engineers, owners, pilots and inspectors currently view the paper document from the shelf, or open up the microfiche reader and spend countless hours searching for the information they seek.

One of the many benefits of the Avantext TechPubs(TM) CD system is the elimination of the need for filing Microfiche pages, looking through torn or tattered pages in a book, or even trying to find the latest revision that may have been misplaced or misfiled.

By maintaining originality to the manufacturers documents, we don't change, alter, re-type, or re-create any of the original publications. The end user can rest assured they are getting the actual document created by the manufacturer. Avantext adds the bells & whistles to make the information easily accessible and manageable.

The Avantext TechPubs CDs incorporate enhancements created by Avantext, known in the computer industry as "plug-ins," which operate in the viewing software and assist the user in finding the exact information they desire.

Davison noted, "One such item is the Blinking-links we created, which draw the users attention to the result location of the keyword or part number being searched. When a search is commenced and the result is found, Avantext will highlight and 'flash' the highlight to draw your attention immediately."

Avantext is now able to provide the aviation industry electronic technical documentation for four of the top seven aircraft manufacturers in the world. The TechPubs CDs for Cessna Propeller Aircraft will operate identically to the other TechPubs(TM) that Avantext distributes.

Ordering information and additional product availability from Avantext can be seen on their website www.avantext.com.
