SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2001
Celox Networks, the company delivering the most scalable edge aggregation and IP service switch for large service providers, today announced that Steven Haley has joined the company's Board of Directors. Steven has over 24 years of executive sales, marketing and management experience with both start-up and established vendors of next-generation networking and telecom equipment.
Most recently, Steven spent four years as a founding Executive Officer and Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Sales and Service at Juniper Networks (NASDAQ: JNPR). Prior to that he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Service Providers, and Vice President, WAN Product Sales, for Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO). Steven joined Cisco through its acquisition of StrataCom where he spent nearly seven years in senior management positions. Most notably, Steven served as StrataCom's first employee in its international group where he established and managed the company's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Earlier in his career, Steven held various management roles with Bytex (acquired by Network Systems), Prime Computer and Data General.
"With multiple trials underway or beginning soon with some of the largest and most respected domestic and international service providers, Steven brings a wealth of timely assets to our Board of Directors," said Kent Mathy, Chairman, President and CEO of Celox Networks. "His extensive network of international service provider contacts combined with his experience selling and supporting next generation equipment provides Celox Networks with an invaluable resource as we execute in the marketplace."
"The network edge will see significant investment in the coming year as service providers address provisioning and operational bottlenecks and move to capitalize on new revenue opportunities with network-based IP services," said Haley. "To succeed on the edge, next generation equipment must deliver market-changing capabilities - intensive packet processing, robust MPLS and IP routing support, a full service creation tool kit and the scalability to measure a useful lifecycle in years, not months. The Celox SCx 192 delivers this functionality. I look forward to leveraging my knowledge and personal experience to help guide and support Celox Networks during this exciting time in its development."
