FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2001

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), a global leader in application serving

and portal software and services, today announced an agreement with Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA), the world's leading provider of e-business management solutions, that enables organizations to leverage Citrix(R) NFuse(TM) software to more easily integrate Web-based and client/server applications with CA's industry-leading CleverPath Enterprise Information Portal.

Citrix NFuse is an application portal product that provides organizations with the ability to integrate and publish interactive client/server Windows(R) and UNIX(R) applications to any Web portal instantly without any re-writing of the application's code. Working in conjunction with Citrix MetaFrame(R) application server software, Citrix NFuse provides organizations with greater manageability and lower costs through centralized deployment and management.

CleverPath Portal provides employees, partners and customers with highly visual, personalized e-business "workspaces" that offer easy interaction with a full range of information resources. In combination with Citrix NFuse, CleverPath Portal enables users to quickly and easily access and integrate both Web-based and client/server enterprise applications through a simple browser interface.

"Organizations continue to embrace the benefits of using CleverPath Portal to create a personalized information source via the Web," said Shari Shore, CA's CleverPath Portal brand manager. "By leveraging the capabilities of NFuse with CleverPath Portal, customers will be able to more effectively leverage the amount of information available to their users by efficiently delivering Windows and UNIX applications through their portal solution."

CA has also joined the Citrix Business Alliance(TM) (CBA) at the Premier level. This alliance agreement follows the recent announcement that Citrix's enterprise-scale application deployment and management platform, Citrix MetaFrame XP(TM)e, has been certified ca smart(TM) with Unicenter(R), the award-winning family of e-business infrastructure management solutions from CA. The integration of MetaFrame XPe with Unicenter enables users to remotely administer and monitor their Citrix MetaFrame XP server farms within the context of the extended enterprise. Leveraging Unicenter's modular design and intuitive user interface, administrators are able to control a variety of network, security, and storage management processes across their MetaFrame XPe server environment and beyond.

"CA continues to offer innovative solutions that enable customers to maximize their productivity, particularly through enterprise portals," said Barry Davis, vice president, business development for Citrix. "As Citrix's relationship with CA continues to evolve, we are confident that our joint collaboration will provide organizations with comprehensive solutions to address their e-business management challenges."
