FRANKFURT & REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2001
eBusiness Integration Leader Partners with B4E to Reduce Time to
Revenue for Innovative New Products
SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), the leading global provider of eBI solutions, and B4E, the innovative Frankfurt based billing system provider for the telecommunication market, today announced an alliance to support service operators in dealing with the increasing speed of change and cost pressure in the telecommunications industry.
B4E is headquartered near Frankfurt, Germany, and is focused on providing rating and billing solutions for complex business processes specifically in the telecommunications industry. Its product, B-oo-levard(R) B4E, is a third-generation billing system based on state-of-the-art technology that allows products to be self-assembled or modified by a simple graphical user interface without the need for programming modifications. This abolishes the need for a lengthy release model and the dependency on a vendor's consultants -- thus dramatically reducing time-to-market. The product can then be released to a highly scalable rating and billing platform suitable for use across fixed or mobile telecommunications devices, voice and data or broadcast networks. Be it individual or combinations, these products are suitable for GSM, GPRS, UMTS, Internet, e/m-Commerce, content or large customer accounts.
In this environment there are clear goals -- to leverage the existing investment in I/T systems such as CRM, general ledger, rating and billing, and get the new product fully operational and integrated in a minimum amount of time. Customer information may span many systems and a single customer view across these systems is required. The mass of systems is typically very complex and distributed. SeeBeyond provides a distributed architecture driven by Business Process Management to enable a real-time enterprise -- integrating the new products from B4E to the existing systems required to process that product.
"Our strategy with B-oo-levard(R) is to provide state-of-the-art technologies for rating and billing, providing no limitation on marketing from the system side," said Bjorn Lillegraven, VP Sales and Marketing of B4E. "The solution provided by B4E and SeeBeyond is an ideal combination and will provide managers around the globe with a system to innovate, generate and integrate new products to increase revenue and decrease cost and time-to-market."
"Application integration is core to a Telco infrastructure and now, based on a recent survey issued by Morgan Stanley, is the number one priority for CIOs across all major industries today," said David Bennett, Vice President and General Manager of EMEA for SeeBeyond. "Deploying integration solutions can drive true ROI, with studies from a leading industry analyst firm showing potential savings of more than 40% in terms of development time. Additional savings of up to 50% can be gained from the resulting reduction in the time required to add a new component to an infrastructure; up to 65% reduction can be gained just in reduced maintenance time alone."
