J2ME-based Go.Web will Allow the Enterprise to
Access Critical Corporate Data on all Java-Enabled Devices
GoAmerica, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOAM) a provider of wireless data solutions today announced that it is developing its Go.Web(TM) service in Java and expects to be completed with its first version by Q1 2002. GoAmerica's Java initiatives are aimed at allowing corporate customers to benefit from Go.Web on Java-enabled devices, as they become commercially available. To strengthen its Java capabilities, GoAmerica acquired OutBack Resource Group, Inc., naming former OutBack President, Jim Mortensen as Director of Software Development. Founded in 1994, OutBack has received recognition for its expertise in wireless and Web-based technologies, having developed solutions for leading technology companies such as Intel, Motorola and Nortel Networks.
