ADVISORY...for Wednesday (Dec. 5)

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Dec. 3, 2001

Don "DC" Curry, TV / Film Star / Comedian, stars in independent film, "Two Degrees." Industry screening premieres on Wednesday, December 5, 2001, 7:30 p.m. at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.

"Two Degrees" is a urban crime drama about a small time hoodlum looking for a fast break, but gets in way over his head. Ripping off his bosses favorite girl and $100,000 of his money, his scheme goes awry.

This independent film was written, produced and directed by veteran actor, Tony Spires. Spires, who also co-stars in the movie, has chalked up many years in the theatre as writer / producer / actor / director. Since moving to Los Angeles from the Bay Area he serves as personal manager to several top urban comedians. His roster, past and present, includes Don "DC" Curry (Next Friday), D.L. Hughley (The Hughley's), Laura Hayes (BET's Comic View), Fazion Love (Parenthood) and many others.

"Two Degrees" lead role is played by Don "DC" Curry, who is best known for his clever spoken, southern-witted humor. Curry has had a number of TV and film acting roles including New Line Cinema's "Next Friday" and ABC's "Grace Under Fire"; guest performances on "Steve Harvey Show" and the Comedy Central network; and host of the highest-rated season of BET's Comic View. Currently, Curry is on location, reprising his co-starring role as the outrageous Uncle Elroy on the third installment of the "Friday" franchise, "Friday After Next."

Spires is also the executive producer and founder of the nationally recognized Bay Area Black Comedy Competition and Festival, which churns out top aspiring comedic talents annually. Spires is excited to present to the world "Two Degrees," a 35 millimeter, two-hour drama, as his next prize possession. The film is executive produced by Don "DC" Curry and Rhonda Spires (Tony's wife).
