WALNUT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2001
ViewSonic(R) Corporation, a worldwide Visual Technologies(TM) leader, today introduced the E220, a big screen CRT monitor, designed for the cost conscious small office/ home office user and corporate and education environments.
With an estimated street price of $575, the 21-inch (20.0" viewable) E220 provides consumers with a perfect balance of screen size, performance and affordability. It offers an ultra-fine 0.22 horizontal dot pitch and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 for clear images and optimal picture definition.
"Consumers shouldn't have to sacrifice performance for affordability," said Steve Fung, CRT product manager, ViewSonic Corporation. "The E220 provides superior performance for people who want to upgrade to a larger, higher quality display for everyday applications."
The E220 is engineered for ideal color performance. Using ViewSonic's SuperContrast(TM) screen technology, the E220 provides greater contrast and brighter colors. Color management software ensures reliable color matching from the screen to other peripherals such as color printers. The E220 also features an anti-static, anti-glare screen coating, which refracts unwanted light away from the user while maintaining the highest quality of the displayed image.
For ease of installation, ViewSonic Wizard CD-Rom software automates the set-up process to deliver optimized screen performance and "Plug & Play" functionality allows for easy configuration. In addition, all screen adjustments can be made using an on-screen menu and simple controls. A new lock function prevents accidental changes to customized monitor settings.
The E220 is currently available through authorized ViewSonic resellers, distributors and mail order catalogs. Backed by a three-year warranty on parts, labor and CRT, the E220 is eligible for ViewSonic's optional Express Exchange service, which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours where service is available. In addition, ViewSonic offers toll-free technical support seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
