IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2001
Mitsubishi Digital Electronics' Imaging Products has added the CP-8000DW Digital Color Printer to its extensive line of high-quality imaging printers.
Designed to meet a wide range of emerging applications for instant digital photo processing such as event marketing, amusement and kiosks, Mitsubishi's new CP-8000DW features superior edge-to-edge image quality, high-speed and high-volume printing, with a choice of three output sizes.
Building on Mitsubishi's established reputation for quality dye sublimation thermal transfer printing, the CP-8000DW features a unique roll-type mechanism for jam-free reliability and a color reproduction system developed specifically for digital printing technology.
This new technology utilizes built-in Color Imaging Chips to accurately control color characteristics and deliver consistent print quality, regardless of ink sheet. A 304 dpi thermal head further enhances print quality at superior resolutions.
The CP-8000DW also offers high-speed printing at 22 seconds per page (4 x 6-inches) with capabilities of printing on either photo stock paper or postcard media. Output sizes include 4 x 6-inches (102 x 152mm), 5 x 7-inches (127 x 178mm), and 6 x 9-inches (152 x 229mm).
Other outstanding features include two 16MB memory frames for convenient image storage while printing and front panel access for simplified paper loading and maintenance. Optimum compatibility is provided via IEEE 1284, SCSI-II, and USB interfaces.
According to Richard Kacik, national sales manager for Mitsubishi Imaging Products: "With the introduction of the CP-8000DW digital printer, Mitsubishi continues to provide cutting-edge technology for the photographic industry. Combining superb image quality along with high-volume printing and low maintenance, the CP-8000DW provides a tremendous revenue generating source for photo processing centers."
Incorporating all the advantages of digital technology including higher quality output, faster speed, and lower maintenance and output costs, Mitsubishi now offers a full line of digital printer solutions with three model configurations, the CP-8000DW, CP-770DW, and CP-800DW. Available April 2001, the CP-8000DW printer is priced at $3,995 (MSRP) and includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
