Chico's FAS, Inc. Announces Testing of TV Ads And Fourth Quarter Results Conference Call

FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 2001
Chico's FAS, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHCS) today announced it will begin testing of TV ads on February 27th in six markets, for a two week period. Also, it will be conducting a conference call to discuss and answer questions about its fourth quarter results which are scheduled to be released on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 pre-market open.
At Chico's first Analyst Open House yesterday, Jim Frain, Vice President Marketing said, "We are going to run our test ads during Good Morning America, Oprah, Martha Stewart and The Today Show in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Tampa, FL and Ft. Myers - Naples, FL. We expect to run 300 spots during this two-week test period. If it is successful we could expand the TV ads again in May and in the Fall of 2001."
The conference call, which will be hosted by Charles Kleman, Chico's chief financial officer, will start at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on March 7, 2001.
