Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A), a leading provider of innovative technologies for communications and life sciences, today announced that two leading global system for mobile communications (GSM) service providers have selected the Agilent acceSS7 network monitoring solution to improve service quality for their roaming customers. The solution will enable Plus GSM and Panafon to proactively detect and resolve customer roaming problems -- helping to improve customer satisfaction and protect valuable revenue streams. The announcement was made here at the 3GSM World Congress conference, Cannes, France, Feb. 20 to 23.
Plus GSM selected the Agilent solution to help manage multiple services and deliver maximum quality of service (QoS) to all users. Plus GSM is the network of Polkomtel, and provides mobile communications with the largest digital coverage in Poland.
Panafon is deploying the Agilent acceSS7 solution on its international signaling links to assist in managing service quality for visitors using its network during the busy holiday season. Panafon is the largest mobile communications provider in Greece, providing coverage to more than 95 percent of the population.
Intracom, the largest manufacturer of telecommunication equipment and information systems in South-Eastern Europe and Agilent's channel partner in Europe, has worked closely with both operators to determine the best solution based on unique, local requirements.
