Systemsfusion Partners With Sun Microsystems to Provide iDCs With

Increased Service, Market and Revenue Opportunities

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2001

Systemsfusion, Inc., a leading provider of management software and aggregation services for the hosted application distribution channel, today announced a relationship with Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW) to provide Internet Data Centers (iDCs) with new opportunities to increase revenues and market share through extended services. The demand for iDCs is growing exponentially because they have the capability to provide service providers with greater bandwidth, redundant systems and increased storage capacities to ensure acceptable levels of performance and availability for their customers. Aside from basic "real-estate" and bandwidth, Systemsfusion and Sun offer iDCs the capability of delivering a portfolio of services such as Hosting management, to their customers.

"As ISPs and ASPs search for better solutions to establish their Web infrastructures, the demand for iDCs' bandwidth and `real-estate' services is skyrocketing. Systemsfusion offers value-added services they can utilize in maintaining their rapid growth and Sun's servers ensure optimal traffic balancing, redundancy and fail-over," said Nevo Hadas, president of Systemsfusion. "We are proud to align with Sun and offer this best-of-breed solution to our ASP and ISP customers."

Systemsfusion's Evolutionware and EDeN (Evolutionware Distribution Network) are revenue-producing components for service providers and iDCs. The Evolutionware software platform is a turnkey solution that enables ASPs and ISPs to aggregate, distribute, provision and bill hosted applications, hosting services and IP services. EDeN provides application/service developers with a new means of delivering and selling application licenses or usage to end-users through an Internet-centric distribution channel.

Under the terms of the relationship, Systemsfusion will recommend installing its Evolutionware software on Sun's scalable and reliable Enterprise(TM) and Netra(TM) product lines. Sun Enterprise 450, 420R, 250 and 220 servers all provide the reliability, scalability and performance required for providing robust applications services. Sun Netra servers also provide a reliable and scalable platform for revenue-generating services based on Evolutionware and EDeN. Evolutionware has already been successfully deployed on multiple Netra T1 and Netra T1125 servers.

"Sun's Enterprise and Netra servers offer the highest levels of reliability and availability to Systemsfusion's customers. As more and more iDCs align with Systemsfusion to capture high-growth service provider customers, it is imperative that Systemsfusion provides a scalable and high-performance platform to support its software. We are proud to be the server and storage supplier of choice and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Systemsfusion," said Bruce Baikie, Sun Microsystems' NSP iDC Market Manager.
