MANCHESTER, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2001

Zydacron, the leading provider of desktop and group video/collaboration conferencing systems, announced today the release of Remote Management Console. Remote Management Console is a software application that enables Network Managers and IT personnel to manage Zydacron meeting systems from remote locations.

The software, which can be accessed from any Java enabled web browser, is designed to allow authorized network mangers to perform a variety of system and network management tasks on conferencing systems that are geographically dispersed. There is no client software required so managers can quickly and easily connect to remote systems and diagnose, upgrade, or modify systems operating in remote conference rooms.

Ken Garofano, President of Zydacron, stated "Zydacron is committed to providing the necessary tools for managing geographically dispersed systems. Conferencing systems can now be managed dynamically through software tools that can be accessed by a network control center or other management systems. The addition of Remote Management Console to Zydacron's enterprise enabling feature set furthers our commitment to provide the necessary tools for enterprise wide conferencing."

Remote Management Console has three levels of authentication to insure security in managing systems. It supports Zydacron proprietary security installed on every Zydacron system. It also supports Windows authentication so users that rely on the operating system security program are supported. The application also supports domain authentication through the use of a central domain database.

Remote Management Console simplifies system maintenance by giving the administrator the ability to update core components of Zydacron and Microsoft Windows software. Remote Management Console also allows administrators to perform required advanced functions of software updating such as log on, log off and reboot. The application provides complete file management tools for downloading, system updates, and control over all file documents and system files.

Administrators wishing to train users on the operation of desktop and group meeting systems can also use Remote Management Console. The remote control functionality of the RMC allows the administrator to give click-by-click demonstrations of the Zydacron user interface. It will also allow the administrator to view that the trainee is performing operation properly. The best part is the administrator can be 3 doors away or 300 miles away.

Remote Management Console will manage any Zydacron meeting system running under Windows 98/NT or Windows 2000 and supports Zydacrons entire family of desktop conferencing solutions, and group conferencing systems.
