Prince Announces Worldwide Launch of NPG Music Club, the Music Club Where Members are Connected Like Family

Offering the ultimate "fam" experience, Prince will launch the online NPG Music Club where members will be connected like "family." NPG Music Club members will receive unique perks such as VIP access to ALL Prince concerts, never-before-heard rehearsal tapes and live webcasts of rehearsal jams at Prince's legendary Paisley Park Studios. NPG Music Club will launch on February 14, 2001 with a celebration in New York City at the newly reopened Upstairs at Studio 54 on February 13th.

At the stroke of midnight on February 13th, guests at the NPG Music Club launch party will be able to sign up via computers located throughout at the venue. Guests attending this event will include fams, celebrities and NPG members including Prince. Prince is flying in his own DJ from Paisley Park to debut the new NPG music and videos that will be offered by the NPG Music Club.

There are two types of NPG Club membership:

Basic Monthly Membership entitles members to: a minimum of three new NPG songs each month accompanied by corresponding music videos and a free one-hour radio show hosted by NPG members including Prince featuring music, commentary and original skits.

Basic Monthly Members will also receive unique multimedia experiences such as "Make Your Own Mix" where they can create their own mixes using NPG music. Basic monthly membership is $7.77 per month.

Premium Annual Membership entitles members to: preferred seating at ALL Prince concerts as well as VIP passes to ALL after shows/parties. They will receive a special edition of Prince's Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic, an album featuring 14 remixed tracks from his Arista Records album Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic. This will be mailed to the members free of charge. Premium Annual Members will receive more original NPG music and videos than Basic Monthly Members as well as special NPG Music Club merchandise. Premium Annual Membership is $100.

The NPG Music Club will continue to develop creative incentives and rewards for its members. In the future they plan to offer live webcasts of rehearsal sessions at Paisley Park, exclusive tapes from these rehearsal sessions as well as an NPG Music Club compilation album that features all the new songs distributed to members.

Interested fams can go to www.NPGMusicClub.com before the official launch to register and get a glimpse into what they can expect as an NPG Music Club member. In doing so, they can listen to new NPG songs, view a new NPG video and listen to a portion of the one hour radio show. Upon registering, they will also begin receiving email alerts regarding the NPG Music Club. Currently, there are over 7,000 registrants for the NPG Music Club.
