In a presentation at the UBS Warburg Global Healthcare Conference February 7, 2001, Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: BRLI) told an audience of investors and industry analysts that the Company continues to experience strong organic growth with the expansion of its sales staff and its entry into vertical markets.
Over one hundred top healthcare industry companies were invited to participate in the four-day conference, which began February 5 at New York's Plaza Hotel.

Grodman, M.D., Chairman, President and Chief Executive officer of Bio-Reference, told the assembled investors, We have expanded our sales staff with seasoned professionals and are aggressively expanding our core business by combining synergistic services which enhance value and create market differentiation. He also told the audience Bio-Reference that morning had announced contracts valued at approximately $9 million annually to serve two New York correctional systems, including New York City's Riker's Island and New York State Prisons. "These contracts underscore the substantial growth we see in this sector and where Bio-Reference has a prominent and leading position," he stated.
